Always Sleepy

The Mundane Life Of A Web Content Writer Working In A Content Writing Company by Jason Aldein
Professional content writing company bosses are like that ‘one spoilt stubborn child’ who always settles quietly after firing at your best efforts! Mine is also not an exception, never happy with my ‘surplus productions’ but always longing for ‘surplus plus productions’. Now coming to my decision to switch on to the field of content writing, it was a random career pick which was further fuelled by my love for writing! Didn’t have any idea about my grumpy boss!
Anyways I like to tag myself as one of those evolved web content writers, not because I prepare evolved content for the web but for the fact that I’ve had several transitions in my 2 and a half years professional career. Already tasted the hectic and ruthless life of a PR personnel working round the clock like robots for almost a year or so, I envied and fancied the life of web content writers, thinking that it is far easier than what I usually do in my current field.
Curtain raiser of my daily drama- the first half 10:30-11 PM
The worst part of working in the content writing field is the lack of movement. I mean I have seen so many people who have gained oodles of weight after joining in a content writing company which is totally a wacko part of this industry! To top it all, you tend to develop a line of sedentary ailments like spondalysis, vision problems, migraine attacks, etc; rather these ailments can be termed as consolation gifts from any content writing company ( tighten your belt to pay more medical bills).
My mornings generally start cursing my fate for not being into the right industry. After cutting out the morning sluggishness, I head for my office at 10 am and reach at my destination at around 10:30 am. I log on to my system, go through my last day’s work, check a couple of mails and then find out my worksheet. Although, I don’t find website content writing as hard as working as a Public Relation professional, at times there are some ‘battery clients’ that completely takes the hell out of my mind!
I don’t know why they need to hire professional content writing services just to write stuffs like ‘best tips’ and ‘basic facts’ of some waste removalist company! Hilarious isn’t it? But I feel agonized just by the thought of writing the same stuff over and over again (what a waste of my precious talent). I have also found a better way to put my writing skills in the right place- by freelancing with a couple of fashion web portals! Believe me writing for them is like a ‘breath of fresh air in my life’!
Before heading for the much awaited lunch break- 12 PM
It 12 pm now and I’m surfing through multiple browsers finding relevant information for my ongoing projects. You see we web content developers have to conduct extensive research so that we can produce competent copies for our clients. But right now I’m enjoying writing for this travel blog that I’ve started working on a few weeks back. I love to picture places by using flowery languages- let’s see how long this project keeps me at bay from those ‘battery clients’!
In the meantime, I got some real time feedback from my grumpy boss. I guess in the fit of creativity I’ve broken some rules of SEO content writing! Well SEO projects do lack logical flow but creativity is also important. But who is going to get this idea into my boss’s nut head! Oh god what it takes to please this animal!!! Again I received a couple of editing projects, well that is pretty easy, takes less time. I’m planning to complete these before lunch.
Well almost completed the editing project. Can’t wait to have something to eat! Its Lunch time!!!
The climax of my daily drama-post lunch hours- 2:30 PM
After pleasing my appetite, it’s now time to gear up for the rest of the day. But I know I’ll feel sleepy for the next half an hour! Shrugged myself a bit and took a deep breath and I again opened my worksheet to check my priorities- 4 articles and 2 movie reviews left for the day. Well, articles were easy link building write-ups of 300 words each. Started writing those and made sure to finish them by 3:30 PM.
3:30 PM
Managed to complete only 3 articles, I thought I would deliver 1200 words within an hour. But content writing is really unpredictable you see. Research, keyword placement and finally writing the article eat up most of the time! Don’t think so, I would be able to complete the reviews. But I speed up at the end of the day because I don’t prefer keeping backlogs in my account!
5:00 PM
Refreshment break is here! I love this time of the day because it’s already time to go home!!! And I have very little work left now. After completing my favorite cardamom tea rushed immediately to finish the rest of the work.
6:30 PM
Done with today’s work and I’m a free bird now! Can’t wait to reach home!!!
